More Information
The Campbell Property consists of 65 hectares (160 ac.) of land, which host an excellent example of the boreal mixed wood forests of the Cooking Lake Moraine. Its trembling aspen and balsam poplar forest surrounds several small wetlands, where species like the horned grebe, wood frog, American beaver and moose can be spotted. Located 10 km southwest from Lindbrook, the area is directly northeast of the Ministik Game Bird Sanctuary and within the UNESCO Beaver Hills Biosphere Reserve.
What you will be doingEvent attendees will help perform a moth inventory on NCC's Campbell property. Sheets and traps will be set up to help collect the moths for analysis. The data you collect will help inform NCC understanding of local biodiversity on this conservation site.
