About Weston Family Tall Grass Prairie Interpretive Centre

The Weston Family Tall Grass Prairie Interpretive Centre is located 80 kilometres southeast of Winnipeg in the heart of the Manitoba Tall Grass Prairie Preserve . Exhibits and hiking trails provide a unique opportunity to experience one of the rarest ecosystems in North America: the tall-grass prairie.

What you will be doing

Learn about owls and then join a team of surveyors along driving routes throughout the area. We'll stop at regular intervals to identify and record calls from owls and other nocturnal birds.

Why you will love it

This is a great opportunity to interact with Manitoba's owls. Exploring the preserve after dark is a treat, not just for the owls, but for the amazing night sky!
