Inventories and Monitoring
Join NCC staff to help survey for rare plants near Paddy Lake! The activity will allow the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) to improve the knowledge of the botanical composition on this property. Volunteers will work to develop an inventory of the plant species present, a general description of the different stands and note any endangered species or those in a precarious situation. The property is located east of Kenauk in Grenville-la-Rouge, 5 km east of the Red River. It is a forested property. There are two small streams and three small ponds.

The activity requires being in good enough physical condition to move around a flat topography without trails. The terrain may be wet in certain places. There might be presence of ticks in the area. For those who will join on the site, Kilmar Road will be the meeting point. Details will come later to registered attendees.
While we do our best to provide you with the tools you need to participate, please bring the following items if you have them:
- Close-toed footwear
- long pants
- long shirt
- layers of clothing (light sweater and jacket)
- sun hat
- raingear
- Water boots or hiking boots
- Mosquito repellent
- 1 Litre of water in a reusable bottle
- Lunch
