This 1,104 hectare (2,730 ac.) property is roughly 80 km west of the Town of Gatineau, along the base of the Ottawa river and across from the Town of Arnprior. Made up of river shores, inland marshes, open alvars and mixed forests, this area’s wide habitat range attracts many at-risk species, including the eastern ribbon snake, tricolored bat, Blanding’s turtle and the endangered butternut tree. What you will be doing
You will help maintain healthy shores to avoid long-term waste accumulation. The activity is also an opportunity to become familiar with the protected natural area that is rich in biodiversity!
