You are invited to participate in a shore-bank clean-up event to help maintain the ecological richness of the island and have the opportunity to see firsthand the return of grazing on Ile du Moine.

This island is home to meadows, marshes, and swamps, as well as many interesting bird species including the Barn Swallow, Bobolink, Nelson’s Sparrow, Short-billed Wren, Short-eared Owl and Least Bittern.What you will be doing
You will help remove light-weight debris and waste from the shore-bank. Activity will involve walking around the site, bending to pick up garbage, and carrying full garbage bags.Why you will love it
Join us to experience the ecological richness of the island of Moine and the rare species found in these habitats. You will also have the opportunity to participate in the reintroduction of grazing on the island of Moine, which is part of the heritage of the municipality of Sainte-Anne-de-Sorel.Questions?

In case of rain, the activity will be postponed to Sunday May 19.
Minors must be at least 16 years old and accompanied by an adult.
Ticks could be present in the island.
While we do our best to provide you with the tools you need to participate, please bring the following items if you have them:
- Closed-toe footwear
- Long pants
- Long shirt
- Layers of clothing (light sweater and jacket)
- Sun hat
- Rain gear
- Personal flotation device
- 1 Litre of water in a reusable bottle
- Sunscreen lotion
- Insect repellent
- Any necessary medications
