All experience levels welcome, only requirement is your power of observation. We will use iNaturalist for help with identification. A picnic lunch will be provided for volunteers.

This thriving project is home to coastal wetlands that protect the shores of Lake Winnipeg. Featuring 52 acres (21 ha.) of marsh habitats and a fresh water creek, the property is home to a network of biodiversity, including cattails, willows, sedges, shorebirds, songbirds, and nesting and migrating waterfowl.
NCC acquired Husavik with the assistance of the Government of Canada’s Natural Areas Conservation Program (NACP), a unique public-private partnership to accelerate the pace of land conservation across southern Canada. What you will be doing
A bio-inventory is an event where surveyors attempt to identify as many different species as possible during the day, at a certain location. You can help with water surveys, contribute your observations on plants or birds, or team up with an expert to learn about something new!Why you will love it
This is a rare opportunity to visit undeveloped shoreline along Lake Winnipeg. Pair the bio-inventory with a visit to the beach and make it a a great day trip!Questions?
