Get outside and get your hands dirty pulling weeds in the Waterton natural area! We’ll be uprooting and bagging several different kinds of invasive plants throughout the day, all while taking in the gorgeous scenery of our Harlingten property. Come on out and give native plants an edge on their competition!

Just north of the Crooked Creek Campground, Harlingten is a gorgeous 119 acres (48 ha.) property that sits along the Waterton River. This transitional zone is shared between grasslands and mountain ranges, boasting approximately 1000 different species of plants and home to large carnivores such as Grizzly Bears, Gray Wolves and Wolverines.
What you will be doing
You'll be pulling weeds from a new reclamation site on our Harlingten property. This will prevent invasive species from wreaking havoc on the area's natural wetlands, and help strengthen the native ecosystem.Why you will love it

All tools and equipment will be provided, along with drinks, snacks, extra sunscreen and bug spray. Please bring a lunch with you.
Additional information will be sent to you after you have registered for the event. This outing will go on, rain or shine.
While we do our best to provide you with the tools you need to participate, please bring the following items if you have them:
- Closed-toe shoes
- Long pants
- Sun hat
- Light layers of clothing
- Rain gear
- 1L Water bottle
- Bug spray
- Any necessary medications
