About Cervo II property (Bellevue)

This 40 hectare (98 ac.) property surrounds the Leitch Collieries Provincial Historic Site and lies along the winding Crowsnest River. Its various, rugged terrain supports a diversity of vegetation communities, including Douglas fir and limber pine forests, grasslands and shrub lands, and supports many rare plant species as well, such as the linear-leaved scorpionweed. As an important wildlife corridor, the region is frequented by grizzly bears, cougar, elk and black bears, allowing for the species’ natural progression through the Rockies.

What you will be doing

You'll help us prepare the property to be open to the public! There will be a variety of tasks including installing a new access gate, roping of sensitive habitat and removing invasive species. No experience necessary, staff will be on hand to guide you through each task.

Why you will love it

Not only will you get a sneak peak at our newest Nature Destination but you will get to experience some of Alberta's history as we end the day with a tour of the historic Leitch Collieries!
