Weedy Wednesday at the Cowichan Garry Oak Preserve
March 13th, 2019, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Cowichan Garry Oak Preserve, British Columbia
Take part in the second annual Garry Oak Meadow Marathon and contribute to the ongoing restoration of our endangered Garry oak ecosystems. Every Wednesday a variety of hands-on stewardship activities take place at the Cowichan Garry Oak Preserve, a living laboratory that is considered one of the best examples of deep soil Garry oak ecosystems left in Canada. New volunteers are always welcome to join the dedicated Weedy Wednesday group.
Weedy Wednesday is an excellent opportunity to learn restoration tips and tricks from long-term stewards of the Cowichan Garry Oak Preserve and become part of a welcoming community of nature lovers and restoration experts.
