Abrams Village (Egmont Bay)

This 79 hectares (195 ac.) nature reserve is located along the Haldimand River, just 27 km northwest of Summerside. The area is made up of large coastal forests and salt marsh, providing important habitat for migrating waterfowl and shorebirds, such as least sandpiper, common tern and great blue heron. The site was recognized by the PEI government as a top conservation priority in the mid-1990s.
