This 10 hectare (26 ac.) piece of land is located in the rural farming community of Reidville, just outside the Town of Deer Lake. As its name suggests, this property provides habitat for the provincially vulnerable black ash tree; a species at the northern extent of its range here on the island of Newfoundland. Made up of deciduous forests and scattered wetlands, the area also hosts species such as wood frog, moose, American beaver and the vulnerable rusty blackbird.
