The Chaplin Nature Centre is a world-renowned interpretive shorebird facility located approximately 150 km west of Regina, in the Missouri Coteau. The Missouri Coteau is a North American glacial moraine of roughly 17 million acres. Of this, about 6 million acres are located in Saskatchewan. The area is characterized by large tracts of native prairie and high density potholes and lakes and is vital for breeding waterfowl and shorebirds.
