Connop property, Turner Valley

Just a short trip outside of Calgary, this property is home to moose, elk and a variety of bird species, including the iconic mountain bluebird. The Connop family, who originally owned the property, began ranching in the area in 1919, acquiring this piece of land in 1957 before donating it to the Nature Conservancy of Canada so it can be forever preserved through conservation. In total, the George Connop Ranches cover 2080 acres in the MD of Foothills, including Turner Valley, Millarville, Bragg Creek, and Okotoks.
