Fishing Lake Property (Inverary)

This 7.41 acre (3.00 ha.) property is one piece of a block of NCC properties, all situated around Loughborough Lake, 14 km north of Inverary. The area is made up of rugged wetland and forest habitats, hosting species such as the pickerel frog, American beaver, chimney swift and snapping turtle. This property holds 1 km of shoreline on Fishing Lake, one of the last remaining lakes in the area with no shoreline development.

NCC acquired Fishing Lake with the assistance of the Government of Canada’s Natural Areas Conservation Program (NACP), a unique public-private partnership to accelerate the pace of land conservation across southern Canada.
