This 109 hectare (270 ac.) property is located within Westlock County, roughly 65 km north of Edmonton and 27 km northwest of the Town of Redwater, and is adjacent to the 323 hectare (800 ac.) Halfmoon Lake Provincial Natural Area. Made up of native deciduous and old growth boreal forests, mixed grasslands and riparian wetlands, the area provides habitat for a variety of wildlife, including wood frog, evening grosbeak, Canadian lynx, elk and the threatened western grebe. NCC has partnered with the Rainbow Equitation Society and the Pioneer Trail North Foundation to help ensure the long-term stewardship of this unique project.
