Golden Ranches Conservation Area (Lindbrook)

This 355 hectare (875 ac.) property, located in the Cooking Lake Moraine just 30 km southeast of Edmonton, is jointly owned and operated by the Nature Conservancy of Canada and its partners. Made up of mature aspen, open grasslands and internationally recognized wetlands, the area attracts a wide range of wildlife, such as Canada warbler, moose, and red fox.

NCC acquired the Golden Ranches with the assistance of the Government of Canada’s Natural Areas Conservation Program (NACP), a unique public-private partnership to accelerate the pace of land conservation across southern Canada.
