Husavik Property (Husavik)

This thriving project is home to coastal wetlands that protect the shores of Lake Winnipeg. Featuring 52 acres (21 ha.) of marsh habitats and a fresh water creek, the property is home to a network of biodiversity, including cattails, willows, sedges, shorebirds, songbirds, and nesting and migrating waterfowl.

NCC acquired Husavik with the assistance of the Government of Canada’s Natural Areas Conservation Program (NACP), a unique public-private partnership to accelerate the pace of land conservation across southern Canada.
