Kallal property, Lindbrook

The Kallal property is approximately 320 acres in size, consisting of an abundance of productive wetlands and native aspen parkland. It is situated within the provincially significant Cooking Lake Moraine as well as the Beaver Hills UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Bought by the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) in 2009, this pristine piece of wilderness is home to a wide diversity of migratory birds, ungulates and other wildlife.

NCC acquired the Kallal property with the assistance of the Government of Canada’s Natural Areas Conservation Program (NACP), a unique public-private partnership to accelerate the pace of land conservation across southern Canada.
