Oxley Poison Sumac Swamp

The Oxley Poison Sumac Swamp is a 62 Ha (157 Ac) property in NCC’s Essex Forests and Wetlands Natural Area in the southern portion of the Carolinian zone in Ontario.  The property boasts the only Poison Sumac-Dogwood swamp in the region as well as and rare plants and animals such as Swamp Birch, Large Twayblade, Barn Swallow and Eastern Mole.
