Round Bay Nature Reserve

Situated on Nova Scotia’s South Shore is NCC’s beautiful Round Bay focal area which encompasses the majority of the Round Bay River watershed, and empties into the Round Bay estuary. Wetlands along the shore of this estuary are at risk of invasion by the non-native grasses Common Reed and Reed Canary Grass. The adjacent beach is home to a pair of Piping Plovers, a small endangered shorebird who has nested at this site for the past several years.
