Shining Rainbow Deer Nature Sanctuary

The Shining Rainbow Deer Nature Sanctuary is an ecological gem within NCC’s Northern Bruce Peninsula Natural Area, one of the most intact natural landscapes in Ontario south of the Canadian Shield. World-renowned for its diversity of orchids and ferns, the Northern Bruce Peninsula is one of the best hot spots for biodiversity in the Great Lakes! The peninsula supports an abundance of species diversity, including 11 globally rare species such as hills thistle, lakeside daisy, ramshead ladyslipper, as well as globally rare alvar communities.
