Southern Norfolk Sand Plain – Upper Big Creek Block #3

The Southern Norfolk Sand Plain Natural Area is within the Carolinian Canada Life Zone and supports many rare habitats, including Carolinian forest, Provincially Significant Wetlands, long stretches of ravines and floodplains, and globally rare coastal dunes and sand beaches. This zone provides habitat for 25% of Canada’s endangered species including the Hooded warbler, Cerulean warbler, Blanding’s turtle, Kentucky coffee tree and American badger.
