NCC’s Torbay Gully Nature Reserve provides plant habitat and a wildlife refuge in an otherwise urban landscape. This open meadow landscape leads down into a freshwater marsh, which is further protected by a municipal stewardship agreement that was signed in 2015. Some of the plants found here include sweet gale, white meadowsweet and tall meadowrue. Osprey, American black duck and bald eagle are just a few of the bird species spotted in the area.
