Waldron Ranch (Porcupine Hills)

If you’ve ever driven the historic Cowboy Trail, you’ll have driven through the vast Waldron Ranch. Located in the Southern Foothills Natural Area, this 30,538 acre (12,358 ha.) stretch of grasslands is owned and operated by Waldron Grazing Co-operative Ltd. Rich in biodiversity, this expansive property has been found to host species such as elk, American kestrel, golden eagles and grizzly bears. The Waldron Ranch remains both economically productive and environmentally sustainable, making it a shining example of a working conservation landscape.
